Splendidula se sera absenté pendant cinq ans — le temps d'en apprendre plus sur les opiacés et leurs effets. Fort de cette expérience, il revient avec Post Mortem qui est un cocktail encore plus élaboré de substances hallucinogènes. Le chant de Kristien Cools monte en puissance : en plus de sa maîtrise du vibrato qui la fait passer pour une sorcière, ses cris la rendent animale. La performance instrumentale est impeccable et fait tomber en plein bad trip. Un gouffre qui s'ouvre : immanquable !

Goa a été la capitale de la psytrance : pourquoi ne serait-elle pas aussi la capitale du stoner ? Dans son premier album éponyme, Splendidula créé un tourbillons de styles, entre doom metal, stoner et rock, mais il entame surtout un pèlerinage en orient. Les solos de guitares ("Overshadow") autant que le chant ("Waltzing", "Aturienoto") sont contaminés par le folklore local et c'est par là que se fait l'accès à la transe. Kristien Cools arrive à nous ensorceler. Peut-être le renouveau du genre !
